Poem I Don’t Like The Spot Light

I don’t like the spot light,
but the spot light likes me.
I hide,
but am the city on the hill that can’t be hidden.
I don’t like the spot light,
but the spot light likes me.
I’m the light,
I shine even when I dim myself.
I don’t like the spot light,
but the spot light likes me.
I sparkle and twinkle like the star.
yet I don’t like the spot light,
but the spot light likes me.
I’m the salt,
I add flavour,
never unsalty.
yet I don’t like the spot light,
but the spot light likes me.
I’m the soul
and life of the party,
lively,
cheerful,
and me,
unique,
yet I don’t like the spot light,
but the spot light likes me.
shy as can be,
yet I don’t like the spot light,
but the spot light likes me.
I’m the sunshine,
shining like the star,
yet, yet, yet, I don’t like the spot light,
but the spot light likes me.
God’s Child I be
shining for God’s glory.
